It’s the end of an era, after Nottingham City Transport decommissioned it’s last Dennis Trident double decker bus.
54 Dennis Tridents featured in the NCT fleet, with the first one arriving back in March 1999 as the first low floor double deck bus in the City. At the time, these buses were revolutionary as they had no entrance steps which meant buggies could easily be carried without having to fold them down.
The majority of the Dennis Trident buses were withdrawn by 2012, but 3 newer and accessible models purchased in 2001 continued in service. Bus 668 (shown below) operated for the last time on Tuesday 20 October 2015.
The bus has now been sold to Transdev Blazefield.
