Europe’s newest premium car brand is taking on the Germans with a super-duper SUV as it rolls out a UK chain of dedicated dealers.
The DS 7 Crossback from the prestige operation of the PSA Group, which owns Peugeot and Citroen, is the first of a second-generation range to be launched progressively during the coming years with the next scheduled for an Autumn unveiling at the Paris Motor Show.
It’s four years since DS became a brand in its own right after previously being sold under the Citroen badge. First we had the DS 3 supermini hatchback and Cabrio representing stylish alternatives to BMW’s Mini set, now the line-up also embraces the DS 4, DS 4 Crossback and DS 5 in addition to the 7 Crossback.
As from July all are only available for order through new DS dedicated outlets in a move representing another significant step forward by DS Automobiles.
Drivers are being promised a highly quality experience in these DS Stores and DS Salons, the design of which has been inspired by French boutique hotels to create a high-end, bespoke, engaging experience.
They are delivering an Only You programme offering a comprehensive range of exclusive services, including DS Rent, which provides an opportunity to discover the range by hiring a model, and the DS Privilege club, with its MyDS app. “We are breaking new ground when it comes to delivering an engaging brand experience,” said a spokesman.
DS Automobiles is surfing the crest of a wave thanks to bold innovation and cutting-edge technology with customers appreciating the individual styling and attention-to-detail distinctive features of its range.
The DS 3 has long been the most popular model in the line-up but the DS 7 Crossback is fast catching up. This completely new model, developed from the ground up by DS, has already become the best-seller in the premium SUV sector in France.
Conquest sales have been won as the styling, comfort and technology of the model have appealed to drivers previously owning the likes of the Range Rover Evoque and Audi Q3.
Clearly, DS Automobiles is the latest ambassador for the world of French luxury: a claim backed by the refinement and creativity of its products, as well as the prestige materials it employs and the ultra-technology it packs.
Check out the DS 7 Crossback and you will discover a truly remarkable car from a manufacturer offering a brand experience that goes beyond products to include the Only You collection of exclusive experiences and services. Here is a car designed for drivers who want to be different with diesel and petrol versions currently available from £28,095 on the road.
