Cotgrave Football Club have announced that they are joining the ever-growing list of community clubs to be based at Cotgrave Leisure Centre as they look for further expansion as a club.
The move will see Cotgrave FC become a priority sports club on an initial 12-month agreement, running through to 2019 with Lex Leisure and Cotgrave Leisure Centre.
Benefits of the agreement mean increased availability of pitches, providing health and wellbeing opportunities along with promotional and fundraising support to the club and all its members.
Paul Heard, chairman of Cotgrave Football Club, said: “Working closely with the local leisure operators is so important to our future growth and success as a club.
“Supporting the development of our sport at grassroots level has been fundamental to the clubs growth and success over the years.
“This partnership with Lex Leisure is a significant move forward for the clubs, players, members of the local community.”
Robert Linthwaite, centre manager at Cotgrave Leisure Centre, said: “This new partnership is a fantastic opportunity to enable us support the local community further.
“Cotgrave is a growing club which is thriving at all levels, by opening our doors to all its members we are enabling and engaging with a wide range of people to help them achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
“All members of the club will be entitled to claim a free seven-day fitness pass and special discounts on all our health and fitness memberships.
“We will be providing support to the club by offering a funding raising event here at the centre for all junior members as the club works to raise fund to redevelop their clubhouse.’’
Year one of the partnership also sees Lex Leisure sponsor the under-16 football shirts.
