In the last six months, Connect:Gamston, part of St Luke’s Church, has been running events in partnership with Pierrepont Gamston Primary School.
At Christmas, over 100 people raised glowsticks in prayer for the lonely, and on Pancake Day, hard-fought pancake tossing contests were won and lost.
Now, Connect:Gamston is launching a new church service at the school on 15th September at 3pm.
In the week running up to the launch, keep an eye out for pop-up events across Gamston.
From ice lollies outside the school, to free tote bags outside Morrisons, chances are you’ll come across Connect:Gamston somewhere.
There’s even the chance of bumping into a bishop in The Goose or Gamston Lock.
Ollie Moss, a pupil at PGPS, said: “I am excited about making new friends and learning more about God.”
Jan Jones said: “Having lived in Gamston for many years, I’m really looking forward to connecting with friends and neighbours in this new worshipping community in the heart of Gamston.”
