Following the opening of Lidl in September, residents in Clifton say they are genuinely pleased with the overall quality of the supermarket.
Many expressed they feel that the new store will help build much-needed competition in the area, as well as provide further choices for people to do their food shopping in future.
The majority of residents were also impressed with the quality of food that is available in store, especially their highly praised bakery and weekly promotion offers.
Dawn Pears said: “I loved the free gifts they did each week when you spent over £20.
“Also, it’s a lot cheaper than over places and plus the bakery there is lovely and always fresh and hot.”
Jade Allen was most impressed with the bakery, saying that “the cobs and the doughnuts in there especially were amazing”.
Elaine Roebuck added: “They have good offers and the generic brands taste just as good as the branded versions.”
Laura Dobson said that all the Lidls were just as good throughout Nottingham. She said: “Every shop is the same layout and the staff are all well-mannered as well.”
