The Clifton Green team have taken on-board an idea to help keep the estate clean from dog fouling.
Maria Watson told the Clifton Local News: “After seeing a clip of a young girl creating poop bag bottles, we thought it would be great to make them and place around Clifton.
“Dog fouling is a big problem and we hope that by placing these around streets and parks, it may encourage dog owners that don’t clean up after their pets to do so.
“So far, we have 25 placed outside schools and parks, along with streets leading to schools. We are hoping to get another 50 placed over the upcoming weeks.
“It is having an amazing response from members of our wonderful community and we just hope they will be used.
“Wouldn’t it be great if this caught on to other communities? After all, there really is no excuse now for dog waste when these are being provided.
“There will be weekly checks on all the bottles placed and they will be refilled if needed. We are dedicated to trying to keep Clifton clean.”
