Radcliffe on Trent Chiropractic Clinic are collecting unwanted sleeping bags to donate to homeless people in Nottingham this Christmas in support of the charity Emmanuel House. For those that don’t have a sleeping bag spare, they are also collecting donations in clinic and via their Facebook page to buy new bags to donate.
Alongside collecting donations, the team have decided to raise awareness of the important issue of homelessness in Nottingham by having a sleep out in their car park on 7th December.
Chiropractor and Clinic Director Naomi Mills and her team have chosen this cause as a way of supporting the local community particularly those who will be without a warm bed on Christmas night. She commented “Chiropractic is all about valuing people and helping them re-build their lives through their health. We know not everyone can afford private health care and wanted a way to give something meaningful and immediately helpful to others this Christmas.”
The clinic will be delivering the sleeping bags to Emmanuel House on Saturday 15th December and hope to be able to donate up to 100 sleeping bags having already reached their initial target of 50 with 3 weeks still to go. To support the cause and get more information visit www.rad-chiro.co.uk
