Visitors to Beeston’s Christmas Light Switch On Event this Saturday are being informed of a change to the publicised venue.
As a response to requests from businesses for some festive activity at Broadgate Park, the official light switch on ceremony will now take place in Broadgate Park at 5.00pm. The firework display at 6.30pm will then take place in Beeston Square.
Activities during the rest of the include a Christmas Market in Beeston Square and a Traditional Fun Fair by Bert Holland and Son at the Old Bus Station plus children’s fair rides along Beeston High Road from 12pm. Stalls selling Christmas gifts, cards, crafts, jewellery, food and drink and much more will create that festive feel along Styring Street.
From 4.30pm at Broadgate Park, shoppers will be entertained by a festive street theatre act, a mix of seasonal songs and live music from a variety of local singers and choirs bringing more festive cheer to Beeston.
Parking in the Town Centre is limited so please use public transport where possible. The Beeston Centre Tram stop brings you right into the heart of Beeston. Chilwell Road will be closed from the junction of Foster Avenue to Styring Street from 4.00pm – 7.30pm.
A Special 4 day Christmas Markets organised by the Arts & Crafts Fair Nottingham will be on every Thursday to Sunday from the 1st to the 24th December in Beeston Square and the Traditional Christmas Fun Fair by Bert Holland will be back in Town from the 19th – 24th December.
