A long-standing head teacher in a Calverton school is to retire this Easter.
Carol Litowczuk has been in charge at the Manor Park Infant & Nursery School on Flatts Lane for 20 years.
Teacher, Alison Wragg, told the Calverton Local News: “During her time at the school Mrs Litowczuk has enriched the lives of so many children and their families.
“She has always found the time to listen, advise and support.
“Her commitment to the job and her kind and sensitive nature has enabled children to feel safe and secure and ready to learn.
“She has always brought out the very best in children and makes them feel that they can achieve and succeed.”
Over the 20 years, Mrs Litowczuk has led the school to achieve many successes.
She leads a big team of experienced and highly-skilled staff at Manor Park, some of whom have been with her for the 20 years.
Alison Wragg added: “We feel honoured to have had her as our leader. She is going to be sorely missed by us all!
Everyone at Manor Park wishes Carol a happy retirement and we thank her for making our school the wonderful place that it is today. Good luck Mrs Litowczuk.”
