This year’s Beeston and Chilwell Garden Trail (BCGT) is being held on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June from 1pm to 5pm.
Last year we celebrated not only 21 years of the BCGT but super sunny weather too, leading to a bumper number of over 1,000 visitors and £8,000 was raised for a wide range of charities.
This year’s trail has 18 gardens opening including several new ones and a very topical theme – Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.
How do we as gardeners help to be environmentally aware? Can you spot the ways in which the garden owners have reused items within their gardens, reduced the amount of garden waste items going into landfill and recycled all kinds of household items?
Greening Beeston, a local community environmental group are pleased to join the trail this year at Middle Street Resources Centre.
Come and join us for a Garden Trail Treat – ideas, delicious refreshments, plant and craft sales, and activities for all the family.
Trail tickets will be £4 per adult, while children go free. For more information go to the BCGT website at www.beestonandchilwellgardentrail.org.uk.
