Derbyshire based TV personality and Antique specialist Charles Hanson will be visiting Beeston Square this May.
Working with the popular Arts and Craft Fair, that has now been a regular on the Square since 2008, Charles will be conducting a fun auction to help raise money for Beeston based charity Forever Stars.
The event kicks off on Friday 6th May with the Arts and Craft Fair as well as free valuation sessions, which will give local residents the opportunity to dust off their antiques to see if they are sitting on any hidden gems.
Saturday 7th will see a continuation of the craft fair, live entertainment throughout the day plus the Fun Auction with Charles Hanson at 1pm. A partnership with the new Town Centre Team means that local business have agreed to donate items towards the fun auction.
The fun auction is one of many events that Arts and Craft Fair organiser Alan Woolley has planned for Beeston this year due to its popularity with traders and shoppers alike. “It is great that Beeston is bouncing back to life now the disruption is over. We will be working with the new Town Centre Team, Broxtowe Borough Council and NET to organise a series of high profile special events like this fun auction over the next year which we hope will make Beeston an even greater place to visit”.
