West Bridgford artist Helena Tyce will have her work on display at the Focus Gallery on Derby Road until 27th October.
Inspired by family, music and having a bit of fun, Helena seeks to splice the old with the new to reinvent classics, to creative her own distinctive style.
She mixes hand-drawn illustrations, paintings, iconic British imagery and words to create a sense of recognition and warmth within the viewer.
Helena creates beautiful artwork for both the younger and older generations, from nursery rhyme wall art for the little ones to artwork incorporating pastimes such as cycling, running and climbing.
Starting back in 1994 after graduating from university, Helena’s designs have gone from strength to strength, from being stocked in John Lewis to having her cards and prints in independent stores.
Helena has recently designed the artwork for the wonderful Gloworm family festival, which will have just celebrated its third year.
This fits right into her talents because of the beautiful children’s illustrations that she creates.
