Oktoberfest is poised to arrive at The Garage, the old Bartons bus headquarters, in Chilwell this October.
The two-day festival will take place on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th October, with an authentic Bavarian Oompah band, authentic Bavarian treats such as pretzels, Bratwurst and Currywurst and, most importantly, genuine German beers that are being imported directly from Munich.
This is the same beer that is drank at the official Oktoberfest festival, which is attended by over six million people a year.
Barton Bros, the organisers behind the event at the historic Barton bus site in Chilwell, are excited to bring an authentic Oktoberfest experience to the East Midlands.
James Barton said: “It’s the perfect event for the area and the venue.
“Beeston and Chilwell live and breathe beer. Since its conception we’ve focused on authenticity and high quality.
“We want people to feel like they’re in Munich, but without the hassle of having to fly home when they want to go to bed.”
The festival will fit in alongside the other events held at the site, such as the hugely popular street food nights, Sunday markets – which will be expanding this winter – and comedy evenings, all returning in September.
Tickets start from £5. Festival timings are Friday 4pm until 11pm and Saturday 12noon until 3:30pm and 4pm until 11pm.
