Alford Road in West Bridgford will close for a month to allow major resurfacing works to take place.
The road will be shut between its junction with Stamford Road up until the junction with Leahurst Road from Monday 22nd June to Monday 20th July.
Leahurst Road will be closed 30 metres either side of Alford Road.
Access will be maintained from the Stamford Road end. However, there will be no through route through the works area.
Work will only be taking place on the road and the pathway will be unaffected.
The resurfacing will see workers excavate 450mm deep into the road, reconstruct the base and resurface.
The work will be done in two stages and will allow parking for the affected properties, but with restrictions to allow for emergency services, work vehicles and resident access.
Once the first stage is complete, work will transfer to the other side of the road with parking available on the new half.
