Update 6th May 2020
We just wanted to give you a further update on how The Local News is continuing to operate during this difficult time.
As a commercial business, we are only able to print and distribute newspapers if there is enough advertising revenue to cover our costs. Some of our advertising clients are unable to trade due to the current lockdown restrictions and others have put their marketing on hold because of reduced demand. So, for the May Local News editions we were only able to print and deliver the West Bridgford and Rushcliffe editions. The Beeston, Clifton, Calverton and East Leake area editions will soon be available to read on-line, but unfortunately there was not enough advertising revenue to produce printed editions.
We continue to take extra care making deliveries; our Distributors have been issued with disposable gloves and told to avoid any contact to conform to the Governments social distancing rules.
With the peak of the virus declared over, our plan for June and then going forward is to try our very best to print all area editions. All clients will be contacted to talk about their advertising requirements during this period. Don’t forget; we can easily make changes to any advert artwork to let customers know about changes to how your business is operating. We are all still working remotely but don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
We thank all our advertising clients for their continued support. We appreciate this is a difficult time for all businesses large and small, but we will get through this by all sticking together.
