We know that the local community rely on us to keep them updated, so we are regularly updating our website and social media channels with all the good things that are happening during this difficult time. Remember we’re here to help spread the word of community helpers and businesses who are doing extra for the public. If you or someone you know are doing something extra to help those who are more vulnerable, please let us know how we can help share your word. Email me at email@example.com and let us know what you’re up to and how we can help.
Our printed publications are now starting to be distributed in local communities and we have taken government advice on how we can do this safely. Door to door deliveries are still permitted to be made, including the Royal Mail, daily newspapers and parcels. This is a vital service for the most isolated and vulnerable in our society and The World Health Organisation has confirmed that newspapers and other printed material remain perfectly safe to touch during the Coronavirus pandemic.
We are taking extra care, with our distributors issued with disposable gloves and told to avoid any contact to conform to social distancing rules. Many of our distributors are making deliveries as part of their daily exercise, whilst some have chosen to wait to few weeks before starting. So apologies if you receive your April paper later than usual.
We are all working remotely, so to get in touch please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. As a small business, we know only too well how difficult the current climate can be, so let’s all support each other!
Be safe everyone,
Dani, Editor of Nottingham Local News
