On Sunday 13th October fro 5:30pm to 7:30pm, you are invited to the Grange Hall in Radcliffe-on-Trent to take part in a Zumbathon to raise money for blood cancer research charity Bloodwise.
Guests will join some amazing zumba instructors on the dance floor alongside DJ Marco Tocco, who will be mixing tracks live on stage to add to the party atmosphere.
Following the Zumbathon, participants can relax and watch some fantastic international dance performances. A great opportunity to see how some of the zumba rhythms are danced.
Confirmed performers so far are Rob and Helen, the De Montfort University Salsa Society and a dance team from Todo Latino Dance Co Ltd.
Zumba is an exhilarating and high-energy fitness party blending red-hot music with easy to follow steps.
This makes the event suitable for those who have never danced or taken part in zumba before, as well as those who have already fallen in love with the programme.
At the end of the event, the fabulous bakeaway team at I’mpossible Employment CIC will be selling cakes to raise more money for Bloodwise. Perfect treats after dancing off lots of calories.
The money raised will be invested in world-class research into blood cancers affecting children and adults.
Bloodwise funds clinical trials all over the UK, including here in the East Midlands at Nottingham and Leicester hospitals.
Siobhan Handley, deputy director of Public Fundraising and Individual Giving at Bloodwise, said: “Thanks to fundraisers like this we can continue to fund research projects that will find more effective and less harsh treatments for blood cancer, a disease which kills more people each year than breast or prostate cancer.
“We are incredibly grateful to all those who have signed up to support this event so far.”
Tickets are £9.50. Find out more information and buy yours online at
